Zero tolerance
Using KickShield for botting, gameplay automation or taking over other people's accounts is absolutely forbidden. Such behaviour breaches both our terms and the Tibia rules published by CipSoft GmbH, and it ends in immediate removal of access to the service with no refund. We do not warn and we do not negotiate. The same rule protects you: the players you share an address with on Standard are bound by it in exactly the same way.
FAQ
Could this get me banned?
We give no reason for it. We don't modify the game client, read its memory or attach to its process — we change only the path your packets take out of your computer. Everything here is within Tibia's rules.
Do I need a second connection?
Yes. KickShield moves the game onto a second link, but it can't give you the link itself — usually that's your phone's hotspot (LTE/5G) or a second provider. It has to be connected before the main link dies: a switch costs a second only because the second route is already waiting. A hotspot turned on after the outage won't save the session. My link died — do I have to log in again?
No — that is exactly what KickShield is for. Your computer hops to the backup link and the game does not notice: a second of lag instead of a login screen.
Does KickShield raise my ping?
Usually not enough to feel. Game traffic takes a detour through our node, so the ping can tick up — how much depends on your provider and where you live. Sometimes it drops, because our route to the game server is shorter than the one your ISP picks. More on playing over LTE and ping.
Technical requirements
Windows 10 (22H2 or later) and Windows 11, 64-bit. The app creates a virtual network adapter with the official WireGuard driver and routes only the game's traffic through it. We don't support the Linux and macOS Tibia clients today.
Can you see what I play and what I type?
No. Traffic is encrypted between your computer and our node, and we don't open it. We record connection metadata — time, destination address and port — because the law requires it. Details on the Security page.
Can I play on several devices?
One device is registered to an account. To move to another computer, detach the old one in your account panel and register the new one — it takes a moment. There is a useful side effect: someone holding your account number cannot attach alongside you or knock you out of the game.
Where can I play from?
Anywhere — we don't check where you connect from. We have nodes in Europe, North America and South America; in the app you pick the region your game world is in, and that is where your exit stands. We have no node for Oceania worlds today.
What if I lose my account number?
We can't recover it — we don't know it, we keep only a cryptographic hash of it. Save the number when you sign up. You can also add an email address if you want one.
