KickShield Terms of Service

The binding version of these terms is the Polish one. Translations into other languages are provided for information only; in the event of any discrepancy the Polish text prevails.

§1. The service

KickShield routes traffic to the Tibia game servers (ports 7171-7173) into a tunnel. The service is not a general-purpose VPN, is not an anonymity tool and is not intended to carry the rest of the user traffic. The actual scope of tunnelled traffic is set out in §1a.

§1a. Scope of tunnelled traffic

The decision to route a connection into the tunnel is made solely on the basis of the destination IP address. The provider does not decrypt user traffic and does not inspect its content, and consequently does not distinguish between connections addressed to the same destination.

Only connections to the game servers' addresses are routed into the tunnel. The game login and the game's own updates use other addresses, remain on the user's own connection and do not pass through the provider infrastructure. Because the destination address alone decides, any connection addressed to a game server will enter the tunnel, whichever program opened it.

Routing traffic into the tunnel ceases the moment the tunnel is disconnected. Traffic passing through the provider infrastructure is not decrypted and is subject to the metadata logging rules set out in §6.

§2. Account and account number

An account is identified solely by a generated number. The provider does not store that number in plain form and has no means of reconstructing it. Loss of the number means loss of access to the account; fees for the paid period are not refunded in that case. One device is registered to an account — registering another requires detaching the previous device in the account panel first.

§3. Payments

Access is paid up front through the payment operator Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. (Stripe): as a monthly subscription (renews automatically until cancelled) or as a one-time purchase with no renewal. You can cancel the subscription in your panel at any time, effective at the end of the paid period. You can pay in your local currency — the payment page shows the conversion before you pay.

§4. Rules of use

Using the service to circumvent restrictions imposed by CipSoft GmbH (including bans), to breach the Tibia game rules, or for any unlawful activity is prohibited. A breach entitles the provider to suspend the account immediately.

§4a. No automation, no account takeover

Using the service together with bots, gameplay automation scripts, tools for taking over other people accounts or any illegal software is prohibited. Such activity breaches both these terms and the Tibia game rules published by CipSoft GmbH. Breaching this prohibition results in immediate and unconditional removal of access to the service, with no refund for the paid period. The rule is not negotiable and carries no warning.

§5. Shared and private addresses

On the Standard plan the exit address is shared with other users; the number of users per address is set by the provider and may change. On the Premium plan the address is assigned exclusively within the region chosen by the user. Outside that region the user receives a free Premium address if one is available, and a shared address otherwise; the application states which address was assigned.

§6. Data collected and why

The provider collects only the data necessary to deliver the service, to bill for it and to meet legal obligations: (a) the IP address the user connects to the service from, together with the tunnel address and exit address assigned to them; (b) the date and time connections are opened, and the destination address and port; (c) the billing data required to issue an accounting document and to process payment.

Traffic content is neither recorded nor decrypted — the provider has no technical means of reading it (§1a). The provider never receives card details; those are processed solely by the payment provider (§3).

§6a. Disclosure to authorities

The service is operated by a lawfully registered business and is therefore subject to the obligations imposed by law. Upon a lawful request from authorised state authorities, the provider is obliged to disclose the data held under §6 — in particular which IP address the user of a given exit address was connecting from at a given time.

The user acknowledges that the service is not a tool for remaining anonymous or for avoiding responsibility. It is a networking tool for players. Any attempt to use it to commit an offence will find no protection on the provider side, and the data held will be handed to the authorities in accordance with applicable law.

Requests from private parties, including CipSoft GmbH, are considered only to the extent required by law or by a final and binding court decision.
